* Jeep Wranglers from 1987 to 1991 utilize a cable driven speedometer. For these applications we recommend the VDO electronic speedometer as a replacement.

** 92-96 models will require a special pigtail adapter, Chrysler Part # 5014007.

*** This is a custom built drive shaft for your vehicle and we will need some information and a few simple measurements in order to build the drive shaft. We will email you our measuring directions and ask you specifics about your vehicle as soon as your order has been processed. Make sure you supply a valid email address.

Strongly recommended for Jeep Wranglers, Cherokees, and Grand Cherokees with 231 transfer case with over 3" of suspension lift to eliminate driveline vibrations. Includes JB Conversions Super Short Slip Yoke Eliminator and a Tom Wood's Premium XBCV Drive Shaft with dust boot and extended life splines.

Drive shaft comes painted black.

**** TJ's and ZJ's will require upper adjustable rear control arms to correct the rear pinion angle for the CV drive shaft after installation. An adjustable rear track bar is also recommended to reduce stress placed on the axle mounting bracket after the pinion angle has been corrected. TJ's will also require modified rear shock mounts to keep the shocks from rubbing against the coil spring perches. TJ's over 4" of lift may also require a rear track bar bracket designed specifically for a CV drive shaft such as the Rubicon Express RE1602.

***** YJ's and XJ's will require rear pinion degree shims to correct the rear pinion angle for the CV drive shaft after installation.

****** Optional Extra Flex CV Grind strongly recommended for short wheelbase Jeep's running 7" or more suspension lift, or 6" or more suspension lift combined with a high clearance transfer case skid plate.

******* With the JB Super Short SYE + Premium XB CV package listed above you have the option of having the CV Drive Shaft built with Tom Wood's Premium, Long Travel slip yoke & spline stub with dust cap rather than the conventional slip yoke & spline included in the price of the kit by selecting the Premium XC CV Shaft option above. We would not consider this to be an issue of strength but more of longevity for these two parts. Whenever possible we recommend going with the Premium XC CV shaft, however on certain applications where the finished drive shaft length is shorter than 16” (very rare with the Super Short SYE) you are forced to use the Standard shaft.
