Off Road Snorkel. Enhance the all-weather, off-road performance of your Wrangler by installing a Snorkel from RedRock 4x4. This Snorkel will relocate your Wrangler's air intake from the low and vulnerable position under the hood to a higher, safer location above the windshield. You'll have access to cooler, denser air to create more power without the fear of hydro-locking your engine when crossing rivers or mudding.

Durable Construction. Manufactured from roto-molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), this RedRock 4x4 Snorkel can handle the bumps and abuse of daily and off-road driving. ABS is an extremely strong material known for its light-weight and superior durability - making it ideal for use on Jeep Wranglers. Every component in this kit is specifically designed for maximum dust and water sealing which significantly decreases the risk of engine damage during water crossings.

Cutting Required for Installation. Installation of this RedRock 4x4 Snorkel is relatively straight forward. However, it should be noted that cutting a hole in your Jeeps passenger side lower fender will be required for installation. Cutting templates, instructions and installation hardware are all included.

Application. This RedRock 4x4 Snorkel is specifically designed for use on 2000-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models equipped with the 4.0L engine.

Review for RedRock Air Snorkel System (00-06 4.0L Jeep Wrangler TJ)

This kit was very time consuming, requires some outside the box thinking, and additional tools (not listed in instructions) The instructions are particularly useless.. as, if followed, they would result in cutting the fender incorrectly. This is not a product for the novice to install. If you do decide to purchase this snorkel, and are not reasonably skilled in fabrication work, have a shop install it to avoid costly mistakes. I was able to complete my install without cutting the wrong holes, but it was not even close to the 3hr install time advertised.

The instructions are not accurate. The best way to install is to watch a youtube video where you trace out the snorkel on cardboard so you can position it correctly with the lower fender and the antenna mount, before you drill the hole. Als, you will need to remove the battery, battery box and the fender brace in order to cut out part ot the bracket for the hose to fit. The air box hose location puts it against the alternator cable bolt, you will need to insulate it. It looks nice when you are done, but the instructions are not very god.

Review for RedRock Air Snorkel System (00-06 4.0L Jeep Wrangler TJ)

Install definitely was a pain. I would recommend taking battery bracket out when doing it and cutting a hole for the hose to fit. You can squeeze it in there like i did, but I’m sure I’ll have to replace the hose from vibrations rubbing through it at some point. It was missing two rivets, but i had some. Also added air intake on stock air box shoves into alternator so i wasn’t able to bolt my air box back down in stock location.

But as far as performance goes. The cold air is amazing and everything is air tight. Tested it out and sunk it in about three creeks and a mud hole and water was halfway up my dash. No water ever got sucked into the engine and it never even acted like it wanted to shut off. Great product!!

Snorkel not that easy to install but my friend and i got it done! Took most of the afternoon! When two old dudes in their 70's try to do something it don't always goes as planned. I'm satisfied with it, I got my $$ worth! I would give it a five for fit but it was a pain to install!!!
