Excellent AM/FM Radio Reception. If you live in an area with a strong radio reception, there's no difference in the quality of the radio reception. If you are in an area with a poor radio signal, the radio reception may be affected.

Quality Build and Finish. This RedRock 13-Inch Trail Antenna is completed in a satin-black rubber coated finish that is both scratch and weather resistant. The antenna fits like just like an OEM part, but gives you that sporty off-road look.

Easy Installation. Modding your Sierra's appearance doesn't get any easier than this. Simply unscrew and remove your old factory antenna and screw the new Trail Antenna in its place, that's it. Installation can be completed in under five minutes with just basic hand tools.

We spend most days downtown in and out of parking garages, and the problem of the oem antenna scraping and contacting low structures just over your cab roof, or even on the overhead garage door at home, is not good. Now the stock mast, or wire whip antenna that comes on even the top of the line trucks Is a little taller than the top of the cab and makes a real racket when it's scraping along. The RedRock 13in antenna has good reception for urban, don't know about in the country.
The brass adapter that is required to change threadcount will show some time brass between the fender top and black of the antenna itself. This is corrected wit a short piece of black heatshrink. It shrinks to make a skin on the adapter, similar to the antenna! Not sure what OD of the heatshrink was, it fit and looks complete. The brass was out of place, now the detail looks much better

Product was easy to install but did look pretty plasticky, definitely not ideal for car washes!
on my second car wash. It broke off inside the car wash and I was left with an exposed spring antenna that I removed to put the factory one back on.
