Cleaned out the frame tubes of rust painted what I could reach. I installed the new plugs then painted the frame. They look amazing.

After replacing both rear crossmembers due to them rotting from the inside out, I wanted to preserve them as long as I could so I got paint in them as best I could followed by wool wax, and then capped each end off on crossmember to keep the bad stuff from going in these plugs were reasonably priced and worked great and as far as I’m concerned cleaned up the look of the truck overall.

Not sure why these covers were not installed from the factory. Really gives a nice finished look. Great preventing mud from getting in the frame and easy to install.
