RedRock Grille Guard; Gloss Black (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

I like the tough look it gives to the front of my Jeep. Minimal difficulty in DIY install but directions could be better written.

Purchased this in lieu of a more expensive one and was pleasantly surprised. Fit and finish is excellent and the product appears to be quite robust. Took me a whole day to install, however, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to installs. Especially when it came time to cut the plastic shrouds.

The instructions were a bit confusing as others had previously written, but I was able to figure it out. Mind you, I’m a 52 yo female who doesn’t know how to work on jeeps. Taking the bumper off and putting this on was a piece of cake after I fired it out.

This grill guard looks really nice on my Jeep. I also love the fact that they actually use a jeep the same color as mine in the ad. I started looking for grill guards after I hit a deer in April that almost totaled my Jeep. I am hoping that this will reduce the damage if, by some chance, it ever happens again

I consider myself fairly handy and good with following directions, but this install took longer than the 2 hours suggested and the instructions were wordy, yet vague and confusing. I needed a breaker bar and 18 mm deep socket to loosen the bumper bolts. There is little room to work, making loosening and tightening things difficult and frustrating. Be certain to finger tighten everything or the guard won't fit between the brackets. After the guard is in place go back and tighten all the nuts and bolts. Everything came together in the end and the finished product looks great and I'm very pleased with the results.
