RedRock HiLift Jack Hood Mount Kit (18-25 Jeep Wrangler JL, Excluding Rubicon 392)

If you mount the way it says, leaning towards windshield, you can’t open the hood all the way or use the windshield washers. If you swap them forward, the hood clears but still have a slight issue with washer clearing on drivers side. I see some of the pics both ways. Some people might wanna check that before u have to get under hood in emergency.

So this needs to be redesigned. You cant use the windshield washer sprayer if you have a jack mounted. So if you are out on trail and get mud on your window. Your done. I repositioned it both ways still same result. I mean I guess it does the job it desinged for, but whats the point if you cant see where your going. I recommend using it for some aftermarket lights. On top of that it is ridiculous how hard it is to take off the bolts to mount these and it doesnt come with a lock of any sort.

I was excited about this product, but like another reviewer, it was missing the conical spacers. Perhaps more importantly, the fact that the install instructioms don't note torching the vehicle to loosen bolts is an important omission. 30 seconds of direct flame on the bolts and they don't come loose. I know this is a Jeep issue and not a product issue, but it explains the lack of an install video. I will return this product as a fail and find something else that works better.

Glad I made this purchase. Have room again in the back of my jeep. Does not obscure my view like I was originally worried about. I did have to go buy longer bolts. Once we put the jack on we couldn't secure it as the bolts weren't long enough. Still a great purchase.
