RedRock Replacement Hood Latch Straps; Red (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

They were easy to do ,but not worth buying I still had the good old hood flutter.
This part of the review is a year later. They are junk.Don't waste your money. When I replaced the stock shocks I also replaced these with a pair of JL factory latches. They look great and no more hood flutter. They were an easy install, just watch the videos on YouTube and don't cut off the pins on the bottom part of the latch. And you may have to drill the top holes out to 1/2" to get a better gap. But take your time and you'll get it right.

I was looking for something to compliment the red accent on my black Jeep. The Quality of the latches were second to none. And I liked the way it added to the color scheme without over doing it.

Took more time to get the stock pins out (10 min) than to install these new straps (5 min). They are way tighter than the 7 year old worn out straps, and dramatically improved hood shake at speed.

Easy to assemble. Still a little more give than I would like, but all in all they do their job.

The product is well made. The directions are not very helpful with regard to "how to remove" the hardware from the stock hood latch. They pop off, but not easily. Spent 80% of my time removing the existing hardware. The heads on the new attachment bolts are much different and less finished looking than the caps on the existing hood latch. Not a bad thing just be aware of it. Initially I was worried that they wouldn't fit. They do. The new strap is about 3/8 inch shorter than the one from the factory. It fit nice and snug. I'm happy with the product.
