I would be careful to trust the pilot holes... the two bolts closest to the cab could not fit a nut. Luckily, I used an actual 10mm drill bit + tap and the bolts are threaded in the bed rail. Every other bolt fit fine with plenty of room for the nuts. Overall, the assembly feels very solid, more than enough to hold my extension ladders. I recommend siliconing the holes to prevent rusting.
